Campus Secure is a wireless alarm system from Secure Systems, Inc. that can be deployed over a college campus, corporate campus, a hospital, or mental health facility, whether many buildings, a single building or a portion of a building. The Campus Secure system allows personnel to carry a wireless personal alarm device (a panic button), similar to a car door remote, in their pocket, on their keychain or in their purse. When activated, the personal alarm sends an immediate notification to security personnel, who then see a picture of the employee, student or faculty member appear on their screen along with data such as name and any medical conditions they may have. As soon as an alarm is activated, the system displays the person’s location on an electronic map of the facility or area, and tracks that location if they move while the alarm is activated. Campus Secure gives police and security forces a real chance to head-off crimes against persons before they happen. The same system can track physical assets such as equipment, laptop computers, etc.
